Fabric Bounty

It’s that time of year again – the Craft and Quilt Fair. I’ve been looking forward to it all year.

The fabrics cost a bit more this year but thankfully I had a bigger budget. Still, it was hard to make my selections. I want all the colours!
I can’t wait to use them.

Fun fact: when I put my sister’s newly purchased birthday present next to my modem, my internet stops working!

  1. How pretty! I love that central coral-colored one; it reminds me of the pattern salt makes on wet watercolors… 🙂

When you buy fabric, do you instantly know what you're going to do with it or does it sit around until inspiration strikes? I'm in the latter group; I've collected so many bins of material that I've had to ban myself from visiting fabric stores until I use up some of the current collection. ^^'

Looking forward to seeing what you make with these! ^_^

  2. I found some free online bag patterns that I want to (eventually) try out.

My main goal is to make some very simple toys to sell. I've started experimenting with some old fabrics but I'm not sure they'll work out.

So far, I've been buying fat quarters based on what colours I think will go well together. But with clothes I've been choosing fabrics to go with specific patterns (and are also cheap!). Perhaps that will change as the hobby grows.
